Gardening Fever!

With this unseasonably warm weather, it's been so tempting to plant flowers. Yet, I constantly remind myself that it's still March and we could have cold weather again. We've had measureable snow in April and even snow flurries on Derby Day! So, I wait....

One day a burst of spring fever hit so I created a Pinterest board called "Easter (and Spring)" just to collect ideas. One of the first things I found was a suggestion for DIY bouquets as cute as those you'd find at your florist.

Here are some of the other fun "gardening" ideas I collected, all with a spring party in mind.

Host a Planting Party-Gather with fellow green thumbs to celebrate the season’s budding greenery and jumpstart spring gardening. The link on the board has a free seed pack invitation to download and print. They can even double as favors!

I love, love, love this "Fresh Herb Wreaths"  You tie garden-fresh herbs to wire wreath forms for seriously darling decorations, favors and hostess gifts. Use herbs you love, or try seasonal favorites like lavender, dill, tarragon, parsley and mint.

Here's a fun idea for kids. They can create "Seedling Planter Eggs." After cleaning out your eggs, remove the top half of each egg and fill it with soil. Purchase tiny flowers or seedlings from a local nursery, and plant them in your creative shelled containers.

Maybe this will be enough to get your green thumb in shape, ready for spring!
